Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
VegLog is made by SGWNI, an independent app studio. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the VegLog app and this website. The short version: there's no account, no ads, and your garden stays in your own iCloud.
Your garden data
Everything you add to VegLog, including beds, plantings, harvests, notes, to-dos and photos, is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account, so it can sync between your iPhone and iPad. It isn't sent to us and we can't see it. You can delete it at any time by deleting it in the app, or by removing VegLog's data in your iCloud settings.
Your town and the weather
VegLog never asks for your location. When you choose your town, the app uses Apple Maps to look it up and Apple Weather to get its forecast and recent frost history. Those requests go to Apple and are covered by Apple's privacy policy. The town you chose is stored with your garden in iCloud.
Anonymous usage statistics
VegLog uses TelemetryDeck to count how the app is used, such as which screens are opened and how many plantings are added. TelemetryDeck is designed for privacy: it doesn't collect names, email addresses or locations, and the identifier it uses is anonymised before it leaves your device. We never send anything you type, the names of your crops or beds, or your town. You can read TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
Purchases
VegLog Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card details or Apple Account. The app uses RevenueCat to check whether you have Pro, using an anonymous identifier and Apple's purchase receipt. You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Notifications
Reminders, the weekly round-up and frost alerts are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in the app or in Settings at any time.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers. If you set your own frost dates on a sowing chart, they're saved in your browser so the next page remembers them, and never sent to us. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs to run and protect the service.
Children
VegLog doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions about privacy are welcome at hello@veglog.app.
